The National Engineering Research Center for Chinese Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology and New Drug Development of Guangzhou Hanfang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Engineering Research”) held the First Summit Forum on the Prevention and Treatment of Major Diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine in an offline and online way on June 10, 2022.

With the great support of 19 national ministries and commissions, such as the National Development and Reform Commission, 14^th China Bioindustry Convention co-sponsored by Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, Chinese Society of Biotechnology and other 19 national associations (societies), China Science Daily and undertaken by Guangzhou Municipal Government was held in Guangzhou, China. The theme of this convention is “New Development of Bio-economy, New Pattern of Healthy China”. On the occasion of this convention, Guangzhou Hanfang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the legal entity of the Engineering Center, together with the Basic Research Platform for the Prevention and Treatment of Major Diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine of China Association of Chinese Medicine and the Guangzhou Biological Industry Alliance, synchronously held the “Summit Forum on the Prevention and Treatment of Major Diseases with Traditional Chinese Medicine” in Guangzhou.

Traditional Chinese medicine is the treasure of Chinese civilization and the crystallization of more than 5,000 years of civilization. It is a great event to inherit and develop traditional Chinese medicine. It is the right time to greatly develop and promote the traditional Chinese medicine under the guidance and strong support of the state. Traditional Chinese medicine is a key branch of China’s biological industry. In terms of disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, its holistic view and the concept of syndrome differentiation provide people with all-round and full-cycle health security, and traditional Chinese medicine has also became a vital force to promote the construction of a healthy China and protect people’s health. The COVID-19 has brought severe challenges to the public health systems of countries around the world. Chinese medicine has attracted worldwide attention as a shining star. The combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is also a major feature of the epidemic prevention and control in China.
